Appeal To The New Administrator To Address Their Challenges

Greetings Sir, on behalf of the chairman Amb. Gen. Preye Ekpebide, and the entire ex-agitators (phase 3) of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) as well as my own humble behalf Comr. Prince Henry Gomeromo, publicity secretary phase 3, deeply and warmly congratulate you on your appointment as the administrator of the presidential amnesty programme.

Sir, the confident of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for appointing you is a clear indication of your managerial skills and great professionalism you have shown in various positions you have held.

Sir, I believe your appointment as the administrator and as a well-meaning Niger Deltan, you will work to reconstruct and redesign the architecture of this programme to it’s original plan as designed from inception. The decision to appoint you is a significant one because you are a product of the struggle and the ex-agitators under the phase 3 looks forward to work with you to ensure that the lost benefits of all ex-agitators will be regained.

Sir, in-line with the foregoing let me still use this opportunity to highlight and depict some grey areas which I termed as major challenges been faces by ex-agitators which needs your urgent attention in other to salvage and redeem most ex-agitators whom are beneficiaries from hardship, poverty and starvation.

1. Denying of house allowance that due every bonafide ex-agitator : sir it can be recalled that, right from the inception of this programme 2009, such allowance has only been paid once and this is one of the top most part in the original plan.

2. Multiple account linking : sir, this has deny most ex-agitators from receiving their payment (stipend) for a period of 2 years, please sir, critically looked into it so that it can be resolved in other to again put smiles in the faces of the beneficiaries.

3. Passionate appeal to employ beneficiaries after graduation : it has come to notice that, the PAP has in the past not taken it as a responsibility to employ or fix ex-agitators whom has graduated from the scholarship of PAP in the higher institution into agencies, parastals and offices to be gainfully employed, please sir we wish you looked into it.

4. Failure to give entitlement/empowerment to some of the beneficiaries who where successful trained in 2022.
