In every ethnic group, there exist a complex web of social, cultural and historical dynamics that shape the Community’s identity and inform it’s leadership. Ijaw Nation being the 4th largest ethnicity in Nigeria is not an exception.

Late Chief E.K Clark lived an exemplary life and exhibited his leadership skills attracting dividends of Democracy to his people from the federal level to the grass roots in the local level without fear and favour. Untill his death, he was known as the famous Nigerian Ijaw leader which encompasses the whole of Niger-Delta especially the Ijaw speaking ethnicity. It is imperative and deemed fit to replace the icon late Chief E.K Clack as he sojourned to eternal glory with a living legend, someone with track records and full of potentials to take up the mantle of leadership.

Supper Comerade Joseph Angodeme Evah, founder and president of the notable Ijaw Monitoring Group (IMG), and Publicity Secretary of Ijaw National Congress (INC) possess a deep understanding of the community’s cultural heritage, traditions and values. This knowledge is essential for navigating the complex social dynamics within and making informed decisions that respect Community’s custom and belief.

Super Com. Joseph Evah command respect and credibility in the Niger-Delta region. This often earned through a demonstrated commitment and well-being, a strong work ethic and willingness to listen and learn from others. Looking at some of his tracks records as a human rights activist, he fought tooth and tail to see that Niger Delta people are politically and economically liberated from political marginalisation and military interregnum. His sincere activism gave him the opportunity to emerged the first Press Secretary to the first Ijaw woman Hon. (Mrs) Orunagba elected as the Chairman of Burutu Local Government Council in 1997.

Com. Joseph Evah is a leader with diverse vision for Niger-Delta future, no wonder he is fondly called the SUPPER COMERADE OF LIVING ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF NIGER-DELTA PEOPLE while some called him as the genuine caretaker of Niger-Delta physically challenged persons and freedom fighter of the region. He identifies opportunities, assessing risks and making informed decisions that balances short-term needs with long-term goals. this portrays vision and strategic planning which is a prerequisite.

Comrade Joseph Evah showcased integrity and accountability in his actions and leadership positions held for the emancipation and proclamation of the rights and privileges for the people of the ijaw ethnicity and the Niger-Delta as large.

His adaptive and resilience in the face of challenges and uncertainties had made him stood tall deemed fit for the mantle of leadership in the Nigerian Ijaw ethnicity and the Niger-Delta as large without contest following the demise of an icon late Chief E.K Clark.
