Udu Council Chairman, Oyibode Assures Continued Partnership With State Govt On Quality Education

Asaba, Delta State – The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode JP FCIA, has reaffirmed the council’s commitment to collaborating with the Delta State Government to enhance the quality of education in the state.
Speaking recently in Asaba on behalf of (Chief) Isaiah Onoriode Esiovwa, the Delta State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Olorogun Oyibode made this assurance during the flag-off ceremony for the distribution of instructional materials to public primary and junior secondary schools in Delta State. The initiative, spearheaded by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), is part of efforts to improve learning experiences for students across the state.
“At the event, the Wife of the Delta State Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, who was represented by the wife of the Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Mrs. Ify Akpowowo, commended the Hon. Samuel Mariere-led SUBEB for its dedication and foresight in implementing the present administration’s vision for public primary schools. She emphasized that the distribution of instructional materials will significantly enhance the learning experience of thousands of children across the state.
“In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Delta State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Samuel Mariere, highlighted that the instructional materials covered key subjects such as Agriculture and Sports. Additionally, he announced the procurement of three minibuses to facilitate effective monitoring and supervision of schools.
“The highlight of the event was an inspection of the donated instructional materials, led by the wife of the Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, in the company of the Primary Education Commissioner and other dignitaries.
The initiative reinforces the state government’s commitment to improving basic education and ensuring that students have access to quality learning resources.
