The Executive Chairman of Ethiope West Local Government Council, Hon. Chris Onogba has declared a state of emergency clean environment in the local government.
Hon. Onogba made the declaration during the monthly environmental exercise held on Saturday 25th January, 2025.
The monthly Environmental Sanitation exercise Tagged: “A Cleaner Ethiope West Is Possible” was led by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Chris Onogba, the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Austin O. Atomre, the Leader of the Local Government Legislative Assembly, Rt. Hon. Felix Ejimiyoma, Deputy Leader, Rt. Hon. Elvis Oghenebrorhie Atavwo, Majority Leader,Hon. Oki Ebeigbe,other Councilors and host of other serving aides in the Local Government Administration.
“The exercise witnessed massive success due to the enforcement of the environmental law across the local government by the working Chairman who moved round Oghara, Jesse and Mosogar for total compliance.
“There were no movement of vehicles, motorcycles and tricycles across major roads including the Benin-Warri expressway.
Speaking with newsmen Hon. Chris Onogba call on the people to own the environment and doing so, they should ensure their environment is clean to promote healthy living across the local government.
Hon. Chris Onogba also visited Mosogar Market whose construction has just begun and Jesse Market to ascertained the progress and pace of work.
