NDPYLF TO NIGER DELTANS THINK BEYOND ETHNICITY, ADVOCATE FOR UNITED NIGER DELTA
A Niger Delta Non-Governmental Youth Organisation, that comprising the Nine States in the Region, which comprises Abia , Akwa-ibon, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Rivers and Ondo States.
The auspices of the “Progressive Youth Leadership Foundation of Niger Delta”, National President Comr. Adams Ogomugo Diplomat, visited Edo State Chapter of the aforementioned group, on 17th January 2020, call for unity and peace in the region, advocate for one united Niger Delta, where ethnicity and tribal sentiments couldn’t be used against our day to day activities in the region, we should think beyond ethnicity in the region,
Speaking to the press during the officially inauguration of Edo State Chapter Executive at Oduware Lodge in Benin City, Edo State, “The National President of NDPYLF also handedover the Constitution of NDPYLF to the state chapter chairman Comr. Mingo F Saya.
Some Members of the newly inaugurated Executive including the chairman, Comr Mingo F. Saya, Comr. Gandi T. Wisdom Secretary, Hon. Nike Tame Edah P. R. O, Hon Osagie Abayomi, mobilization officer, Comr Uahomo Courage, Woman leader, Comr. Yanboh Samson, Assistant Secretary, Comr. Anita Godwin, Financial Secretary and others.
In his acceptance speech, “The State Chapter Chairman, Comr. Mingo Friday thanked the National President and his Executive for finding him worthy and honoured to serve in the capacity of the state chapter chairman, and promised to bring the expected peace and unity to the foundation and Niger Delta at large.
The State Chapter Secretary, Comr. Gandi Wisdom also appreciated the president and also promised to bring the blinking light of unite the Niger Delta.
The president further emphasized and call on Niger Deltans to think beyond ethnicity and focus on a united Niger Delta region.
The National President further pointed out some ethnic barriers facing the region as a result of the disunity Among ethnic groups in Niger Delta that has hinder development and security of the region. He therefore urges all tribes in Niger Delta to take a bold step to build a lasting relationship which will fast track development in the region.
Comrade Adams therefore formally welcome Edo state chapter chairman and his executive to the foundation.
