MOSIEND CONGRATULATES BAYELSA GOVERNOR AND DEPUTY ELECT, THANK BAYELSANS FOR MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICE

MOSIEND CONGRATULATES BAYELSA GOVERNOR AND DEPUTY ELECT, THANK BAYELSANS FOR MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICE
…Says Bayelsans have spoken through the ballot…
The National Secretary of Pan Ijaw group, the Movement for the Survival of Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND), Amb. Winston Cotterel Amain has congratulated the Governor and Deputy Elect of Bayelsa State, Chief David Lyon and Senator Degi Eremienyo on their landslide victory at the just concluded November 16 gubernatorial election.
The MOSIEND scribe opines that the governorship elections clearly indicates that Bayelsans were tired of the draconian style of leadership of the present administration.
Amb. Amain also asserts that Bayelsans came out in their numbers to reclaim the lost glory of the State.
He appeal to Governor Dickson to congratulate the Governor Elect in the spirit of Ijawness, saying ‘Ijaws has never seen wrestling as fight’ Even if the PDP is going to court congratulating the winner of the just concluded Governorship Election demonstrate maturity and brotherly love as Ijaw people.
The Youth Activist also enjoined the incoming governor and his deputy to put up workable blueprint that will place the state in the comity of states that are fast developing and want the incoming Governor elect to look at critical areas such as Security, Electricity, Pipe borne water, Education, Good Road network, human Development etc
He also caution the incoming Governor to carry along all the LGA’s in the state in terms of Development and to see himself as the People’s Governor and the Governor General of Ijaw Nation.
Hence he is a father of all and brother to all Ijaws irrespective of Political affiliation. In the same vein, the People’s Governor (David Lyon) should set up an inquest to find out the immediate and remote causes of Electoral Violence in the State and come up stiffer penalties for those found guilty of Electoral Violence in the state. We pray our incoming Governor use his good heart to support the families of all those that lost lives before, during and after the last Governorship election in the state.
The MOSIEND Secretary want the incoming administration to bring back the lost glory of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) and re-unite the fractured body and also restore the apex Ijaw organization, the Ijaw National Congress (INC) from extinction following the deep involvement of the out going governor in the activities of INC, remembering he (Governor Elect David Lyon) is a Mosiendes. Amb. Amain further thank Bayelsans for coming out in their numbers to vote for a Greater Bayelsa.
