IYC President Hold Emergency Meeting With His 3 Zonal Chairmen, Parliament Speaker And The Special Chapter Chairman

….Commends President Buhari For The Appointment Of Chief Timipre Sylva As Minister Nominate Urge Him To Give Sylva Ministerial Portfolio That Will Truly Reflect The Sacrifices Of Ijaw People In The Survival Of Nigeria

 

The President of Ijaw Youth Council( IYC) Worldwide Barr Pereotubo Oweilaemi summoned his zonal Chairmen from Western, Central, Eastern and the Abua Odual/Engenni Ogbogolo IYC Special Chapter including the Speaker of the 4th IYC Mobile Parliament where critical issues were discussed bothering on Ijaw Unity as imperative for survival and actual development in this critical era of Nigeria.

They also thanked President Buhari for nominating Chief Timipre Sylva who happens to be the only Ijaw Minister designate and urge him to give him a ministerial portfolio that will truly reflect the sacrifices of Ijaw People in the survival of Nigeria.

The President of the council Bar Pereotubo Oweilaemi informed his zonal Chairmen that in no distant time he will call for an expanded Exco meeting to discuss critical issues on the management and project implementation of the Niger Delta Interventional agencies, especially the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and the President Amnesty Programme,PAP, with decisions that will be backed up with divisive actions to correct many anomalies,”he said.
