IYC ELECTION 2020: WHY ELECO SHOULD HEED TO THE PLEA OF THE IJAW YOUTHS TO AVOID ANOTHER FACTONAL EXCO’S

My findings reveal that, the decision to put Oporoza in Gbaramatu kingdom for the next IYC National election 2020 was not the collective decision & resolution of the 9 member electoral committee headed by Bekewei Ajuwa Esq.

I am also aware of the internal interest and conflict among its members which are normal in every process leading to elections

However such internal bickering are done for the furtherance of the event and it’s normally positive minded . Bar Ajuwa Bekewei and his team must understand that the least expected of them is to be above board and take decisions that deepens our unity and advance our Ijaw interest and not one faction leader.

We have witness FACTIONALISM in the last three years and we have learnt the bitter lessons . Ijaw Nation have suffered its consequences and we must not take certain decisions to further lead to another CRISIS .

The venue of the election as oporoza is not only biased but completely an unfair decision to the advantage of one candidate who is from OPOROZA.

It’s our considered opinion that the Eleco must reconsider it’s decision because it’s clear that aspirants are not comfortable with this decision and are gearing up for a show down which may lead to another post election CRISIS AND FACTIONS .

Chief Government Ekpemukpolo alias Tompolo has done excellently well by making sure that he aligns himself with some positive and patriotic leaders to push the OPOROZA PEACE PROCESS and we must all support them and this includes the electoral committee to get the desired peace in Ijaw Nation and our dear revered council.

Perhaps, Oporoza would have been the best place for this coming election for the role our leader has played if not that, their son hails from that same community who also have the blessing of his royal Majesty, King Aketekpe from Gbaramatu.

Accordingly in the spirit of peace and believing that the Eleco has our best interest and Ijaw Nation at heart we want to once again appeal to their sense of patriotism and sacred obligation to please reconsider and change the venue out of OPOROZA as the negative consequences outnumbers the positives .

This my humble appeal.

My Name is Comrade Ebolo Samuel and am an Ijaw youth with great stakes in IJAW LAND and an indigene of Ayakoromor/ Akugbene Town.
