Frank Congratulates Gov Okowa For Successful Inauguration, Funkeme For His Appointment

The chairman of ljaw Youth Council (IYC) Western Zone, Chief Comrade Akiefa Frank has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his successful inauguration for second term in office.

Speaking with newsmen in Warri, Comrade Frank thanked Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the appointment of Hon. Solomon Funkeme as the Senior Special Assistant, SSA, to the Governor on political matters stressing that is a well deserves appointment, he describe Funkeme as astute politician and ebullient leader in Burutu and Delta politics.

We the leaders of lYC Western Zone the appointment of Hon. Solomon Funkeme did not come to us as surprise because it is a well deserves appointment. As the DG of Governor Okowa campaign he work so assiduously that the main opposition governorship candidate and despite the Federal might to Governor Okowa, he only won 2 local government out of the 25 local governments in the state unlike the pass governorship elections he (opposition candidate) always win about 13 to14 Local Government Areas.

According to him, Hon. Solomon Funkeme is a season and astute politician that understands the politics of the state which gives Governor Okowa resounding victory at governorship election.

While congratulating Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for successful inauguration at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba the state capital.

Comrade Frank appeal to Governor Okowa to appoint more ljaw men and women to key offices for always standing by him and voting massively for him during all his governorship elections from 2014 till date.

Speaking further, Comrade explain that Burutu is the biggest Local Government Area in the state, therefore am appealing to our dear listening Governor to at least appoint three or two Commissioners from Burutu local government for their loyalty and faithful support to dear Excellency in all his governorship elections, he said.

He urge Governor Okowa to use his second term to focus on Egodor road according to Comrade Frank the same Egodor road is a dead trap to the people, am also appealing to our listening governor to focus on Gbekebor reclamation, Tuomo reclamation and completion of Ayakoromo bridge which connect to different local governments in the state.
