Delta State Orientation Bureau Staff To Be Repositioned For Effectiveness

By Johnson Ebigide

Director General ( DG ) of the Delta State Orientation Bureau, Barrister Eugene Azuka Uzum, has said that staff of the bureau would be strategically repositioned to enhance their productivity.

Barrister Uzum stated this while addressing staff of the bureau in his office in Asaba.

The Orientation DG stressed the need to deepen the knowledge of the statutory mandate of the bureau by the staff so as to enhance their performance in the discharge of their duties, adding that the bureau would intensify its sensitisation and reorientation of the general public on bush burning, dangerous motoring on the roads, pipeline vandalization, cultism and other social vices that are inimical to the development of the state, just as he urged the staff to brace up to the tasking but necessary mandates of the bureau towards creating an enabling environment, devoid of rancour and social vices, which is necessary for the actualisation of a stronger Delta.

The Orientation boss particularly singled out the Public Relations Unit for immediate and strategic repositioning for effective and timely information flow from the bureau to the general public, saying that the bureau would access both the traditional and the prevailing new media platforms towards the actualisation of the set goals of the bureau.

While congratulating the best staff and Youth Corps member for the month of September this year, Barrister Uzum maintained that requisite laid down performance indices would continue to guide the bureau in the choice of who clinches the motivational award each month.

Mrs Judith Wemembu, Assistant Director of Orientation, and Miss Miriam Agudiegwu, a Youth Corps member in the bureau, won the award for the two categories for the month of September which attracts #20,000 and #15,000 respectively.
