COVID-19 LOCKDOWN: COMMITTEE OF FRIENDS DISTRIBUTES PALLIATIVE TO OKPALUKU, ADA, OKWA, KEKE/OKADA RIDERS, LESS PRIVILEGE, VULNERABLE YOUTHS AND WIDOWS IN UTAGBA OGBE

 

 

With the harsh reality faced by the world at this time of the global pandemic Covid19 that has infected over 2million people globally and has recorded over 120,000 thousand deaths and the call for Solidarity of all fronts by the United Nations (UN) Secretary Genera, Antonio Guterres and the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, hence prompt the need for a Lockdown to save as many lives in the world and also assist the less privilege ones in the society to cope with this new found life.

The committee of friends comprising of Chief Lucky Anoka, Mr. Moses Akpe, Mr. Polycap Mogbolu in Utagba Ogbe headed by Chief Lucky Anoka accompanied by the President General of Coalition of Ndokwa Peace Ambassadors (CONPA) Amb. Uboh Chukwuka Alex, who is also a member of the distributing team distributed all in one food stuffs comprising of rice, beans, garri, indomie noodles, tin tomatoes, groundnut oil and maggi,to all the okpaluku, okwa, Ada in utagba ogbe and also gave to widows, less privileged ones, vulnerable youths and Keke/Okada units in Kwale.

Most things that takes people out of their houses is to look for what their family will eat, Mr. Moses Akpe who is the spokesperson of the committee urge them to pass the message of precautionary measures against COVID-19, for people to stay at home, while they should always wash their hands with soap and water, that this is just a way of solidarity towards supporting the Government to win the fight against COVID-1919 for everyone to be safe.

CONPA President General lauds the committee of friends in utagba ogbe for the good work towards sustaining humanity in this fight against COVID-19. If people are to stay lockdown in their houses,they must feed as a lot of people depends on daily jobs, most have been disengaged from work and a lot of them have responsibilities of extended families, and we should put into consideration the women, children and the youths, and at this time we cannot solely depend only on Government, it is a call to service for each and everyone of us to do our bits towards the collective goal in defeating COVID-19 in Nigeria, Delta State and Ndokwa Nation.
