Bandits Kidnaps And Kills Construction Workers In Borno State As Brothers, Kome And Ogaga Escape Miraculously From The Forest
…Says we have lost everything, appeals for help and assistances from government and philanthropists.
We were miraculously escape as they (bandits) wants to use us as agent of suicide bombing.
Addressing the press, my name is Epete Kome and my brother is Epete Ogaga “we are from Delta state, we came to Chibok in Borno state to work with our friends, Mario, Aboy, Tegar and Kparobor on October 25, 2019.
While we were working on the construction site in the morning, about 9am, we were attack by gunmen suspected to be group of bandits, at least six people were killed and several others injuries while they kidnap some of us.
While running for safety, some of us drowned in the river and many of them were shot, “he said.
Speaking further, Kome said, we were taken to the forest, while in the forest they asked us to join them or be killed.
According to their oga, some of us will be use for suicide bombing, informants and others will buy foods and other logistics for them in the forest.
My brother and I said to ourselves, we will rather die to join them because we came from a good Christian background. So those who join them were treated like Kings and those of us who refuse to join them were treated like slaves.
“The oga now give us three days to make our choices either they kill us or we join them at this point I pray to God, oh, Lord let your will be done.
God with his infinite mercy I can’t explain how we escape from that forest miraculously.
We have lost everything we are using this medium to appeal to the government and philanthropists to help and assist us to start a new live as we have lost everything and all our savings, “he said.
“It will be recall that on the 14th November, 2014 it was reported that the Islamist group, Boko Haram has kidnap over 250 girls from the Government Secondary School and had taken control of the town and implemented Sharia law.

While in 30th November, 2017. Boma Local Government Area of Borno State and it environs was retaken from Boko Haram by the Nigerian soldiers.
