APC’s Inuwa wins Gombe governorship election

Gombe State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, has won the governorship election held on Saturday, March 9.

He polled 364,179 votes to emerge as the winner of the highly anticipated election.

It was reported that the APC candidate won in all the 10 local government areas in the state announced earlier leading his PDP’s opponent, Bayero Nafada, with a margin of 141,311 votes.

Below are the votes recorded by both parties as announced by INEC in Gombe state in the 11 LGAs:

Gombe: APC 68,384, PDP 21,673
Shongon: APC 13,463, PDP 12,993
Kaltungo: APC 26,774, PDP 22,259
Nafada: APC 9,018. PDP. 17,937
Yamaltu Deba: APC 51,521 PDP. 25,852
Kwami: APC 30,539. PDP. 18,240
Billiri: APC 18,612. PDP 18,063
Funakaye: APC. 29,191. PDP 20,020
Akko: APC. 58,479. PDP. 30,832
Balanga: APC 30,926. PDP. 18,192
Dukku: APC. 27,302. PDP. 16,807
