Again, PDP Wins Bauchi Rerun Elections

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has won the Bauch State governorship supplementary election held on March 23.
The returning officer on the election for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the candidate of the PDP, Bala Muhammed winner of the re-run election after pulling over six thousand votes to beat his closest rival, Mohammed Abubakar, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that pulled over five thousand votes.
The result further widened the lead of the PDP candidate as he before now had 469,512 while the APC candidate had 465,453.
However, the returning officer for the election said he could not declare a winner yet because the case of Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area election is still in court.
