The Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Etacherure Ejiro Terry, has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of Ojiyovwin Salvation, the primary two pupil who tragically lost his life in the recent building collapse at Eghereka Primary School, Ewu Town, Ughelli South Local Government Area.
The incident occurred during a heavy rainfall, causing the structure to give way. Unfortunately, Ojiyovwin Salvation lost his life, while three other pupils sustained injuries. The collapsed building was a block of six classrooms that had been unused for over a decade.
Hon. Etacherure Ejiro Terry described the occurrence as deeply regrettable and commended the swift response efforts that facilitated the prompt rescue of the affected pupils. He also praised the Local Government Council Chairman, Dr. Lucky Avweromre, for visiting the scene to assess the situation and provide necessary assistance to the survivors and the family of the deceased.
He prayed for strength and comfort for the family, school, and community during this difficult time.
