Council Polls: Dagidi Emerges Bomadi PDP Consensus Chairmanship Candidate

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) hierarchy in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, in consensus has adopted Hon Dagidi Andaye as its chairmanship candidate in the forthcoming Council polls scheduled for July this year.

The party hierarchy in Council led by Senator James Manager, and Rt.Hon. Nicholas Mutu , Member Representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency and other prominent leaders in the meeting commended the State Governor, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his developmental strides all over the State.

The party also hailed the governor for political appointment given to sons and daughters from all the wards that made up the Bomadi Council Area.

The unanimous position taken by the party was announced by the PDP LGA acting Chairman Mr. Prince Opuofeni to party faithful immediately after the meeting held at Warri and was also transmitted through his Facebook page urging every party member to work as a team and deliver Andaye in the local government polls.

Elated by the development, the Director- General of Dagidi Rawlings Andaye Campaign Council Hon Pius Labo described the choice of Andaye as the best decision taken so far by the party in the Council area noting Andaye would replicate the MORE Agenda in Bomadi LGA.

Labo who is the Chairman Delta State Art Council held that Andaye’s Council administration would offer a lot of opportunities to the teaming youths and former Councilors/ supervisory Councilors to serve in his administration since they are his major supporters.

Earlier the Chairman of Andaye Rawlings Dagidi (Team ARD) Campaign Council Dr. Deinghan Macaulay noted all the chairmanship aspirants of the party further awaken the the preparedness of the party in forthcoming polls. He said that their interest and commitment towards the party would not be in vane. Macaulay held that they had made the party more popular and stronger in the local government area.

Macaulay, Chairman of the campaign council explained that in the contest to become candidate, there was no victor no vanquished and urged the party faithful to abide by the decision of the party, pointing out that it was unanimous amongst them and taken in the best interest of the party.

Dagidi Andaye in acceptance speech particularly thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for strongly believing in him, the State Party acting Chairman Chief Kingsley Esiso and the entire leadership and followership of party in Bomad Local Government Area for making him the consensus chairmanship candidate in the July Council polls.

He thanked Dr. Denghan Macaulay Chairman Andage Rawlings Dagidi Campaign Council, Hon, Pius Labo DG Campaign Council, elder Allen Egbegi, Dr.Barry Gbe, Economic Adviser to Governor Oborevwori, Hon Funyei Manager, Commissioner Special Project in the State Executive Council and Elder Famous Ofurobiri for their contribution, commitment and prayers throughout the consultation period added they would remained pillar of his administration.
