Bomadi – The executive chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Rawlings Dagidi Andaye, hosted retired service Chiefs, Elder Statesmen and resourceful Personalities of Bomadi Local Government origin in honour of their meritorious services to the nation.

The event, which took place at the council secretariat, Bomadi, was attended by sons and daughters of the soil from different parts of the country, who were recognized and honoured by the Hon. Andaye-led administration for their commitments to service to the nation.

Hon. Andaye, who earlier sought the elder statesmen’s collaborative effort with his administration to transform Bomadi council area in the development drive, however, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the distinguished leaders for their willingness to answer the call to serve their community.

He also acknowledged their dedication and sacrifices to the nation, emphasizing that their expertize knowledge and experience were essential to the transformation of Bomadi Council Area.

“As one of the oldest local governments in Delta State, we look to your wealth of experience to shape the future of our communities and rewrite the narrative that has long affected our council,” Hon. Andaye said.

He further urged them to actively participate in political processes, mentor emerging leaders and drive community development initiatives, tasking them to contribute to the development and progress of Bomadi Local Government Area through their wealth of knowledge.

However, to formalize and strengthen collaboration with council, Hon. Andaye proposed the establishment of the “Bomadi Local Government Security and Advisory Council,”BOLGSAC, with aims to addressing critical issues such as insecurity and economic challenges, which are currently bedevilling the nation.

The inaugural members of BOLGSAC are as follows: AIG Asayamo Tuesday (rtd) Chairman, Assayomo Ojobokeme (rtd Asst. Compt., Immigration), Barr. D. Singer (FRSC), ASP Roland Nisiama (rtd), Oweibena Benson rtd (Wing Officer), CSP (Dr.) Benson Dunu (rtd), DSC Anesah Mamako Michael (rtd) and Odubolu Ambrose E. (Rtd Asst. Compt. Customs).

Others include DSP Opori Areyebo rtd, James S. Enai (Perm. Sec., DTSG rtd), Andy Osagie (Rtd DSS), Col. Sonny Olorogun (rtd), Ojokai George (Rtd Air Warrant 1), ASP Augustine E. Sagbegha (rtd), SP Ebikeme Musah (rtd), Dr. Macauley Denghan Ray (JP) and Chief F. W. Edonkumoh.

In their response, the Chairman of BOLGSAC, AIG Asayamo Tuesday (rtd), conveyed a unified commitment on behalf of members to collaborate closely with Hon. Andaye and his administration to take Bomadi to next level, noting that their focus would be on tackling security challenges and fostering economic progress in the council area.
