“The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Hon. Festus Keyamo, commissioning a Police Station and Airport Fuel Dump at Osubi Airport in Delta state” Nigeria, marked a significant milestone in the country’s aviation sector. Although the minister was unable to attend in person, his Special Adviser, Olorogun Voke Oshasha, admirably represented him and delivered a speech on his behalf.

Olorogun Voke Oshasha commended the management of Osubi Airport for initiating the projects, which he described as “world-class standards.” He emphasized the importance of the Police Station in maintaining peace and security within and outside the airport, ensuring a safe environment for passengers, staff, and operations. He also expressed his appreciation for the initiators of the project and urged those responsible for its maintenance to ensure it serves its purpose effectively.

Earlier, the airport management, represented by a spokesperson, expressed their gratitude to the minister, Olorogun Voke Oshasha, and all dignitaries present for taking time out of their busy schedules to commission the projects. They acknowledged the support and collaboration that made the projects possible.

Speaking to newsmen after the commissioning, Olorogun Voke Oshasha, on behalf of the minister, reaffirmed the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to fulfilling its Renewed Hope Agenda.

He revealed that plans are underway to expand Osubi Airport from a domestic to an international airport, with details to be made public soon.

The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including traditional rulers, HRM Orhue 1, the Orodje of Okpe, and HRM Dr. Emmanuel E. Sideso, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, who were represented by palace Chiefs. Also in attendance were the Delta State Commissioner of Police and Commander of the Navy, represented by their delegates. Other notable guests included the Okpe Local Government Chairman, Honorable Isaiah Esiovwa, military personnel, and senior officials from various government agencies.
